Check out what we’ve been up to!
On Sunday 7/28:
The Coalition presented our work at Islah LA as part of on surveillance as part of Islah’s ‘ilm x Amal (Knowledge and Action) Summer Intensive Program.

On Tuesday 7/30:
The Coalition attended the Board of Police Commissioners meeting and condemned LAPD’s punching of Alexander Mitchell, a 28 year old man who was brutally assaulted by LAPD while handcuffed.
On Wednesday 7/31:
The Coalition helped mobilized a variety of groups against a motion in city council that would offer up to $2M in city funding for groups like Magen Am, a private Zionist militia. Recognizing the overwhelming opposition to the motion, council members Yaroslavksy and Blumenfield withdrew the motion before the meeting even started.
On Thursday 8/1:
This week’s episode of Radio Insurrection featured a conversation about the defeated motion to fund private Zionist militia’s, and the mayor’s recent veto of a city council motion that would put LAPD Disciplinary Board reforms on the November ballot. You can listen to the episode at kpfk.org/archives.
