Join us for our monthly webinar for our Fight Against Data-Driven Policing. This month we will examine the relationship between universities and the police, and the role in academia in enforcing and maintaining racial apartheid and eugenics. We will share some recent learnings about the partnership between LAPD and local universities, and reflect on how this relationship is used to quell resistance. We will also share a preview from the upcoming report on the use of data-driven policing in Los Angeles, and how police used an academic framework of “crime analysis” to brutally displace Black, brown, and poor community members. Join us in our discussion and build power in our fight!
