Greetings friends! Here’s what we’ve been up to:
On Tuesday 9/20, we held one of our first in-person community meetings in a long while at our home in LA CAN. With the end of summer upon us, and covid transmissibility having decreased significantly, the Coalition sought to create a space where community members both new to our work and old could come kick back, break bread, and learn about what we’ve been up to. The questions presented to attendees were “What brought you to the Stop LAPD Spying Coalition” and “What would you like to see us focus more on”. We were grateful for the community members that attended and all the great food that was shared. The Coalition also unveiled our new curry hot dogs. They were (mostly) a hit.

On Friday 9/23, the Coalition tabled at an event hosted at a DIY venue called Little Secret. We shared some of our work, including two of our most recent zines on reform, uprisings, and community policing as counterinsurgency.
