Greetings dear friends, here’s what we’ve been up to:
On Tuesday 3/12:
The Coalition attended the Board of Police Commissioners meeting where the commission discussed the quarterly audit of the military surveillance robot dog. The department’s report inaccurately documented the instances when the robot dog was deployed, further enforcing the illegitimacy of these oversight policies.
That evening we held our monthly War on Youth working group where we identified trends in dehumanization and criminalization against youth around the world, and crafted a timeline based on our findings.
On Wednesday 3/13:
The Coalition held our final Wednesday class with students at the Watts Empowerment Center.
