10/7:
On Tuesday, the Coalition attended the Board of Police Commissioners meeting where we continued to expose LAPD for the ways in which they are the perpetuators of violence.
That evening, we held our monthly Gender and Sexuality meeting where we read about pink washing, and read some work from queer Palestinians to learn more about the intersection of misogyny, transphobia, and zionism.
In the second half of the meeting, we did report backs from the different committees in preparation for O22, the national day of action against police brutality.
10/09:
On Thursday, we went to Oxy for their fundraiser for journalists in Gaza. We joined many other groups and got to enjoy art, music, and community!
10/10:
The Coalition attended ROC-tober this month — the Resident Organizing Committee Meeting for October. We discussed food benefits, and what the city chooses to divest in (the resources we need), and what they choose to invest in (policing).
10/11:
On Saturday, we attended the Community Self-Defense Coalition meeting where we were able to connect with different folks to check-in about our work! Later, we held a meeting where we discussed our ongoing work against LASAR and PATHE.
