On Tuesday, the Coalition went to the Board of Police Commissioners to continue to fight back against Real Time Crime Centers, as well as against the new weapons of war LAPD received. That evening, in lieu of our community meeting (it was the fifth Tuesday!), we had a prep meeting for O22 — the national day of action and protest against police brutality.

On Wednesday, we went to LA CAN’s Housing and Civil Rights Meeting, as well as Students Deserves’ General Assembly, where we got to meet with awesome young folks and hear about their fight against policing in LAUSD!

The Coalition attended Building Beyond Policing’s 2025 Convening Convening in Chicago during the weekend where we got to meet incredible organizers from all over Turtle Island. We got to hear about how folks from different cities have been fighting back against local and federal law enforcement, holding each other in the aftermath of lost loved ones, and how we can take care of each other in a police free world!
