On February 3rd, 2026, the Coalition went to the Board of Police Commissioners Meeting where we continued to expose LAPD for their constant collaboration and partnership with the IOF (Israeli occupation forces). We know that the LAPD and IOF exchange tactics of warfare and genocide from project lavender to the Deadly Exchange, the US wages war and genocide on Black and brown communities while the IOF unleashes the same violence and genocide on Palestinians. We also continue to fight for Keith Porter and Linda Becerra Moran and every person we have lost to imperial state violence.
Later that evening, we held our monthly Gender and Sexuality meeting where we talked about anti-Blackness in movement spaces and how we are all constantly learning and unlearning to be more anti-racist in our fight for abolition. We then had a teach in with the Sidewalk Project on the criminalization of sex work, particularly the relationship because ICE’s violence and how sex work has become a “deportable offense.” We know that sex work is work and we will continue to fight for our communities to live in a decriminalized world!
On Wednesday, students walked out of their classes and protested! We also went to Black Lives Matter LA’s action to continue to demand justice for Keith Porter. And we continued to get organized and fight together during Saturday’s Community Self Defense Coalition Meeting.
