Community Meeting – Tuesday January 24th at 6PM
SARA is a 4-stage tactic and plan of operation of displacement by which LAPD targets areas in the community for surveillance and policing, and brings in additional city resources to eliminate or remove the “problem.” Like all policing, SARA targets Black, brown, poor, and unhoused community members and seeks to remove them from the community.
Join us in our fight against data-driven policing and displacement as we look at LAPD SARA reports from Central Division and talk more about SARA, and how it is being deployed in Skid Row and other areas downtown. We’ll also talk about some of LAPD’s data-gathering tactics that feed SARA and other operations. Join us as we build power in our fight!
