The National Security Police State always uses crisis like this to expand oppression, to expand surveillance, accumulate new weapons, push boundaries, and justify its violence. Join us at Stop LAPD Spying Coalition over Zoom for a working meeting and Know Your Fight Webinar Series Part 77 on Tuesday October 12th at 6 PM.

Join us this Tuesday for our monthly webinar for the Fight Against the War on Youth! This month we will be marking Indigenous Peoples’ Day. We will be highlighting connections between surveillance and policing programs of the LAPD and the federal government and the ongoing colonization of this land and targeting of Indigenous communities. We will be looking at the recent announcement of new TVTP grants given by the Department of Homeland Security to fund more surveillance, and we will be exploring the ways that programs rooted in counterinsurgency and the War on Terror such as CVE and TVTP continue to target political organizing. We will also be looking at how the LAPD’s policing practices are a continuation of conquest and land theft with a special preview of the Coalition’s Land and Policing report that will be released next month. Finally, we will be brainstorming research questions for uncovering and exposing more about these programs so that we can organize to resist. Join the fight!
