Join us at Stop LAPD Spying Coalition over Zoom for a working meeting and Know Your Fight Webinar Series Part 69 on Tuesday August 10th at 6 PM.
Join us for our monthly second Tuesday webinar for the Fight against the War on Youth, organized by Stop LAPD Spying Coalition and Palestinian Youth Movement! This Tuesday we will be joined by Muslim Justice League, to learn about their fight against community policing and school surveillance. This includes their successful struggle to block six new staff positions at Boston’s Fusion Center (a Homeland Security spy center- there are over 80 throughout the country) and defeat a regional surveillance network. We will also learn about Stop LAPD Spying Coalition’s fight against Los Angeles’ fusion center, including the two actions in which we shut it down. Finally, we will look at how Homeland Security surveillance programs impact LA’s youth and how we can build power to kick out the feds from our schools.
