Join us at Stop LAPD Spying Coalition over Zoom for a working meeting and Know Your Fight Webinar Series Part 53 on Tuesday April 13th at 6 PM.
We will be joined by the Coalition for Civil Freedoms (CCF), who provide advocacy and support for prisoners of the war on terror in the US, as well as for their families who have been targeted after 9/11. They provide education about the erosion of civil liberties and political freedoms in society. We will be commemorating Palestinian Prisoners Day and learning about the story of the Palestinian political prisoners known as the Holy Land Foundation 5. Later in the meeting we will be engaging in an interactive collective study of two risk assessment tools used in LA to surveil youth: the tool used by the Los Angeles Unified School District’s (LAUSD) School Threat Assessment & Response Team, and the tool used by the Mayor’s Gang Reduction & Youth Development (GRYD) office.
