Los Angeles Hosts First Town Hall on Drones!

On Saturday, November 8th about 150 community members gathered at Central American Resource Center (CARECEN) and spoke out against the acquisition of drones by Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).

The program lasted 2.5 hours to which included three teatro pieces, a powerpoint presentation, and an open mic section with approximately 40 Angelenos speaking on the topic of the LAPD’s use of drones.

Mayor Eric Garcetti still has not fulfilled the request to meet with community members.

The public comments are being transcribed and will be posted here soon. Stay tuned!
