Join us online this Tuesday May 9 at 6 PM for the monthly community meeting of our fight against the War on Youth!
This month we will be joined by staff and youth from STEM to the Future, where the Coalition has been doing a teaching residency and helping youth organize to resist state violence. We will also be hearing updates from various fronts of the fight against the War on Youth. With our partners the Black Alliance for Just Immigration (BAJI), we’ll be discussing the recent mobilization of US troops to the US-Mexico border, and its brutal impacts on migrants and refugees. And with our partners the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM), we’ll be commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Nakba (the genocidal expulsion of Palestinians in 1948 as well as the ongoing ethnic cleansing and colonization of Palestine).
We will conclude with a records request focus group, helping to turn participants’ questions about surveillance programs into California Public Records Act requests.
