Community Meeting – Tuesday August 9th at 6PM
Join us for our monthly webinar for the fight against the War on Youth. This month we will be celebrating Black August, a month in which we honor incarcerated Black freedom fighters and their legacy of resistance that continues today. We’ll be joined by Harold Welton, a former SNCC organizer and Southern California Chapter Black Panther member, to talk about the historical targeting of youth at the forefront of revolutionary work and the importance of education in revolutionary work. Additionally, we’ll hear from some youth organizers about the continuation of this culture of resistance. The evening’s webinar will conclude with a call to action, and actionable steps to support incarcerated freedom fighters. Join the fight!
