08/05:
On Tuesday, the Coalition attended the Board of Police Commissioners meeting where we continued to expose them for their “National Day Out,” their new military grade automatic weapons, Police Academy Magnet Schools (propaganda schools), and our ongoing fights against Fusion Centers and Real Time Crime Centers.
That evening, we held our Gender and Sexuality Meeting where we read an article on how ICE has been targeting sex workers.
08/08:
We supported LA CAN’s DWAC on Friday with their ongoing project mapping out women’s needs in Skid Row, and we got to build with incredible women from Skid Row and hear their stories.
That evening, we attended the Resident Organizing Committee meeting (ROC) where we talked about how policing shows up in Skid Row.
08/09:
On Saturday, we stood with the Boycott Home Depot campaign at their march and rally against Home Depot and the ways they have been aiding ICE.
