This Tuesday, we went to the Board of Police Commissioner’s Meeting where we exposed them for a new pilot program that would allow officers 72 hours to get their story straight after a “Categorical Use of Force” (an instance of extreme police violence).
That evening, we held our monthly Data Driven Policing Meeting where we went over and broke down our letter exposing the myth of the “sanctuary city” together.

In the morning, the Coalition supported LA CAN in their amazing women’s surveys in Skid Row. That afternoon, we, along with EdDefense and Educators for justice in Palestine held a youth art-making day where we made prints, buttons, zines, earrings, fibre arts, and more in preparation for May Day and to do popular education together on our fight!

On Friday, we held our monthly movie night in front of LAPD headquarters where we watched “The Palestine Laboratory” to talk about the ways surveillance and technologies of oppression are exported and shared between isr*el, the US, and other settler colonial entities. We also supported actions throughout the city to continue fighting for a Free Palestine!

The Coalition held a “Watch the Watchers” training on Saturday in preparation for May Day so we can continue to expose, disrupt, and delay the pigs in their attempts to surveil folks on May Day, and everyday.
