01/28:
On Tuesday, the Coalition attended the Board of Police Commissioners Meeting, where we fought back against increased budgets for AI and drone technologies, community policing counterinsurgency programs, and their fictitious accounts in their USC After-Action Report.
That evening, we had our monthly Data Driven Policing Meeting where we discussed Data Fixation, our new zine draft, and the political and material consequences of the use of data.
01/31:
On Friday evening, we held our monthly movie night, showing La Haine–a film that follows the lives of three impoverished young men in the French suburbs the day after a riot triggered by police violence.
02/01:
On Saturday, we attended and spoke at “Youth Rising: Palestine, Police, and the Right to Protest” organized by the Educator Defense Network!
