On Tuesday, (8/29), the Coalition attended the weekly Board of Police Commissioners meeting to uplift the recent surge in LAPD shootings, and the recently unveiled scandal involving LAPD Mission Division gang officers. This week was the first meeting in which Errol Southers served as president of the Commission. Following the lead of his predecessors he did not allow for all in-person attendees to make public comment.
Thursday’s episode of Radio Insurrection featured special guest, Dr. Melina Abdullah, of Black Lives Matter Grassroots. We discussed the Board of Police Commissioner’s history of fuckery, the recent increase in LAPD’s wages, and the recent LAPD scandals being uncovered.
