We held a town hall about LAUSD youth surveillance, with a special focus on the new LASAR app. The event was hosted at the Southern California Library. Teachers, parents, and students convened to discuss the ramifications of this dangerous app on our youth.

On Tuesday (10/10):
During this month’s War on Youth webinar we summarized our key takeaways from our recent town hall, which focused on LAUSD’s youth surveillance app, LASAR (Los Angeles Schools Anonymous Reporting). We talked about next steps in fighting back against this surveillance app. Additionally, we delved into events in Gaza and connected with a Q&A with the Palestinian Youth Movement.

On Thursday (10/12):
During Thursday’s episode of Radio Insurrection we coninued our conversation conversation on the ongoing attack on Gaza and the Zionist effort to sanitize an ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people continued. We are committed to raising awareness about the pressing issues in the region. That evening, we joined Union Del Barrio and the Harriet Tubman Center for a protest in South Central in support of Palestine.
