WEEKLY UPDATE – Nov 17, 2023

Greetings dear friends, here’s what we’ve been up to:

On Saturday (11/11):

The Stop LAPD Spying Coalition co-organized a rally and film screening with the Palestinian Youth Movement in front of Los Angeles City Hall. During the rally the Coalition named the many ways city council and the LAPD advance the zionist agenda.

On Tuesday (11/14):

The Coalition held our monthly War on Youth webinar. This month we were in conversation with members of Students for Justice in Palestine from various campuses. Students and attendees reviewed the many ways that SJP’s are being targeted by school administrators and state leaders. The students discussed various organizing strategies in response to the zionist backlash to support for Palestinian resistance.

On Thursday (11/16)

Radio Insurrection moved from its regular 8am time slot to 5:00pm. This week we were joined by the Coalition’s own Jamie Rae and Nadia Khan to discuss the Coalition’s history and provide an introduction to our work for a new audience. You can listen

On Friday (11/17)

The Coalition held our monthly movie night in front of LAPD’s Central Division. This month we watched The Battle of Algiers, a dramatized telling of Algerian resistance to French colonization.
