Greetings dear friends, here’s what we’ve been up to:
On Sunday 3/17:
The Coalition’s Community Policing working group conducted our monthly outreach in Watts.
On Tuesday 3/19:
The Coalition attended the Board of Police Commissioners meeting, where we spoke out against the department’s practice of withholding public records requested by community members and the incoming Real Time Crime Centers.
That evening we held our monthly General Meeting, providing attendees with updates on our different working groups. We also provided attendees with information about the upcoming Board of Police Commissioners meeting being held in the valley on April 16th at 6pm.
On Thursday 3/21:
This week’s episode of Radio Insurrection featured an hour long conversation with KPFK Interim General Manager Michael Novak. We discussed KPFK’s transition from our regular hub in Studio City to our current digs in Glendale. You can listen to the episode at kpfk.org/archives.
