On Tuesday 7/9:
On Tuesday morning, the Coalition attended the weekly Board of Police Commissioners meeting where we spoke out against the expansion of Automated License Plate Readers and recounted LAPD’s history of sexual violence.
That evening we held our monthly War on Youth Community meeting at LA CAN. This month we did a deeper dive into City Council’s motion to fund a private Zionist militia. We also discussed the ways the motion has been sanitized to mask it’s original intent.
On Thursday 7/11:
Thursday’s episode of Radio Insurrection covered recent developments in LAUSD’s data breach and the fight against the Los Angeles Schools Anonymous Reporting App. We were joined by Vanessa Ramos, an LAUSD Parent who also works with Disability Rights California, and Nadia Khan, an LAUSD educator and organizer with the Stop LAPD Spying Coalition.
