On Tuesday 1/30:
The Coalition and our partners from the Sidewalk Project attended the weekly Board of Police Commissioners meeting, where the LAPD was presenting on “human trafficking”. The LAPD has often used the narrative of human trafficking to criminalize sex workers. Members from Sidewalk Project spoke out against the legitimization of human trafficking narratives as a means of justifying ongoing criminalization of sex workers.
