On Tuesday, the Coalition attended the Board of Police Commissioners meeting where the new ‘President’ continued to refuse to let more than 16 people speak!
That evening, we held our monthly General Community Meeting where we began to plan for October 22nd, the national day of action against police brutality.
09/19:
The Coalition went to City Council’s commission on women’s needs on Friday with LA CAN’s DWAC, where we fought back and women shared and amplified their stories of living in Skid Row.
09/20:
Saturday was our monthly Youth Day in the park where we had children’s stories that help us to think about a world without borders and a world without police. We also played soccer and trucks 🙂
