04/01:
This past Tuesday, members from the Coalition visited local high schools to talk about our Youth Internship Program. The Coalition also held our monthly Gender and Sexuality community meeting, in which we continued to uplift Linda Becerra Moran’s story, and we debunked LAPD’s “Women’s History Month” Presentation.
04/02:
On Thursday, we visited San Pedro High School to talk about Countering Violence Extremism (CVE) programs like PATHE (Providing Alternatives to Hinder Extremism) and LASAR (Los Angeles Schools Anonymous Reporting), which are programs used to target and criminalize youth and students. We also did a teach-in on similar programs of counterinsurgency at The People’s University of USC.
04/05:
We also have continued to participate in and attend the Community Self Defense Coalition meetings, patrols, and rapid response as we continue in our fight for the abolition of ICE and all policing.
