Sign the Petition: Stop LAPD Drones!

The Drone-Free LAPD/No Drones, LA Campaign is currently working to collect thousands of signatures on paper and online.  Please sign the petition online and also send it to your friends!

Additionally, we’re building teams across Los Angeles to knock on doors, attend events, and collect signatures to show officials that Angelenos say NO to police drones!  We need your help!  If you’re interested in volunteering for this outreach effort, please write [email protected] as soon as possible!


ECHO PARK AND SILVER LAKE NCs TAKE ACTION

On September 18th, the Silver Lake Neighborhood Council – Public Safety committee passed a resolution unanimously demanding LAPD to “Rescind Special Order 1, the previous Special Order 11, and terminate the iWATCH – See Something, Say Something program.” The motion now goes to the full council for vote in October.

On September 23rd, the Echo Park Neighborhood Council Governing Board passed a passed a resolution unanimously to “Write a letter to Mayor Eric Garcetti and the Los Angeles Police Commission to reject the use of Drones by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).” The council asked the coalition to come back and make a presentation to the council public safety committee on LAPD’s SAR program to be followed by a vote by the full council.

On Thursday Oct 2nd the Stop LAPD Spying Coalition will be presenting on the use of Drones by LAPD at the Historic Highland Park Neighborhood Council. The meeting starts at 7 PM.
