Join us for our webinar about Data-Driven Policing and Land and Policing! This month we will be exploring the connections between state violence in Skid Row and in Palestine with an emphasis on so-called “smart policing” and the policing of land. We will be diving into the Deadly Exchange between law enforcement, surveillance companies, and tech industry and weapons manufactures between US and Israel, both settler-colonial states with brutal, genocidal “shared values.” We will hear from community members of Skid Row about the way Skid Row has been policed, and we will hear from organizers from the Deadly Exchange campaign who have worked to expose and end law enforcement exchanges between US and Israel. We will also learn from one of our members who participated in the World Without Walls delegation to Palestine about similarities in both state violence and resistance in LA and in Palestine, and we will do a deep dive into the IDF “Momentum Multi-Year Plan” to better understand the trajectory of “smart policing.” Join the Fight!
