Join Us: TONIGHT – 6:00pm – as We Question LAPD Body Cameras
The LAPD has recently committed to purchasing body cameras from TASER International. Chief Beck is determined to keep this footage out of public view. We at the Stop LAPD Spying Coalition don’t believe that more technology and more resources towards US police will stop their reckless killings of black and brown youth. Such resources should be sent into programs which build-up poor communities rather than criminalize them and turn them into occupied zones. Join us at 6pm TONIGHT and TOMORROW night for both Police Commission meetings for public comment.
The Police Commission will be holding public comment in two different communities this week.

The first meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 14th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Green Meadows Recreation Center – 431 E. 89th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90003

The second meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 15th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at A.G.B.U. Manoogian Demirdjian School, 6844 Oakdale Ave., Canoga Park, CA 91306
Join us, as we question the logic of police body cameras which will most likely be used more against the public than to hold police accountable.
