Join us at Stop LAPD Spying Coalition over Zoom for our Power Not Paranoia Webinar Series Part 38 on Tuesday December 8th at 6 PM.
We will have an interactive community meeting looking at how various “violence/terrorism prevention” programs are impacting communities here in the US and the UK, and our resistance to these programs. CAGE UK, as well as the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM), will be joining us in looking at the criminalization of youth in schools and in their communities. We will also be looking at the criminalization of Palestinian youth, as well as how the gang narrative and the terrorism narrative are being used to criminalize youth and their families. We will also be discussing ways that young people are resisting and fighting back.
These programs are part of the various wars on youth, including how Black, Brown, Immigrant, Muslim and Indigenous Youth are criminalized as “violent extremists,” terrorists and threats to national security.
