On Tuesday, the Board of Police Commissioners meeting was canceled but we held our monthly general community meeting. We continued to prepare for O22 and hand made paper flowers for an ofrenda.
10/22
Wednesday was October 22nd, O22, which is the national day of action against police brutality. We worked with dozens of orgs throughout Los Angeles to march, rally, and honor the lives who have been lost to the murderous actions of LAPD.

The Coalition held our monthly movie night on Saturday where we held a screening of Full Eclipse, a camp copaganda film with allusions to the Rampart Scandal. We were able to critique and understand a little bit about the purpose of copaganda!

On Saturday, we hosted the Community Self Defense Coalition meeting at LA CAN where we continued to learn from each others’ work and our ongoing fightback against ICE. Later that day, we met to continue to build out a tool against LASAR, an app that streamlines snitching and criminalization of students in LAUSD.
