On Tuesday, the Coalition held our monthly Gender and Sexuality community meeting where we talked about policing and sexual assault as a form of social and political control, and how to heal, fight, and survive!

We attended the Public Safety Committee Meeting on Wednesday because Head Pig Eroll Southers was being reappointed to be President of the Board of Police Commissioners. We exposed him for his long history of anti-Muslim racism, and complicity in sexual assault, and he continues to rubber stamp and be the “sanctioner” in the state-sanctioned violence LAPD commits daily.

The Coalition attended LA CAN’s continued series on Gender Justice in Organizing where we continued to learn about queer history, fightback, and read the Combahee River Collective’s statement so we can further our ability to fight back against all interlocking oppressions.

On Sunday, the Coalition attended a Working Class Political Art Show with Centro CSO and the Community Self-Defense Coalition!
