This past Tuesday, we held our monthly Data Driven Policing Community Meeting, where we discussed LA’s farce of a Sanctuary City Ordinance, and the ways in which data collected by the state is always weaponized against our communities.

The Coalition also presented our new Data “Fix”ation Zine at Harvey Mudd this Monday, where we spoke with students about the ways in which people fixate on data, falsely thinking it may solve our problems, when the reality is that data is always a weapon wielded by the state.

This past Friday, we held our monthly movie night where we screened “The Hour of Liberation Has Arrived” by Heiny Srour.
