The Peoples’ World Cup

Saturday, the Stop LAPD Spying Coalition along with LACAN, Youth Justice Coalition and several other organizations are participating in The Peoples’ World Cup, an event in solidarity with those displaced and repressed due to global sporting events such as the FIFA World Cup, which hold our popular sports hostage in the service of profit, at the expense of real people.  We’ll be playing a pick-up game on skid row at LACAN – 838 E. 6th Street, LA – at 5:00pm, followed by a march to the Federal Detention Center where the 3rd Place match between the Netherlands and Brazil will be broadcast on the walls of the facility.
